A $1,000,000.00 settlement in a wrongful death/construction site accident that arose out of an incident involving a forklift. Our client, the forklift operator, was attempting to transport a load of bricks underneath a parking garage “height restrictor,” when the wheel of the forklift struck the side pole and caused the forklift to fall resulting in our client’s death. The settlement value included the value of the workers compensation lien amount, which was waived as part of the settlement.
